topic Arlo Pro Local storage in Arlo Pro

I don't yet own an Arlo Pro camera system. I used to have the "regular" or "original" Arlo camera system but had to get rid of it because my internet is just slow enough to fail video upload to the cloud storage. I am normally just under the required 1Mbps upload speed, so I would get notifications of motion detected and could watch live feed but without any recording of the motion detected, so the system , although great, just didn't work for me. Does the new Arlo Pro store all video locally? Is it available for view remotely or on the App? Thanks.

Yes, it can store to a connected USB storage device. No, you cannot view it. You'd need to remove the storage from the base station and plug it into a computer to watch the files

It's also possible that you could drop the resolution, hence the upload speed required, to allow your videos to upload properly. Just under 1Mbs isn't like there's a hard limit - it just can cause issues.
