How do I get the distant cameras use the extender for better signal to Base Station?

I have an arlo base plugged into an ISP provided wifi to 5g access point.
Some of my cameras are at the opposite end of the house where there is a wifi extender.
How do I get the distant cameras to use the extender for a better signal to the base?

You don't...

the camera will not use an extender as they link up only to the base unit.

What you can do is either centrally located the base so it reaches the far cameras too

add a second base unit at the far end of home using a wifi extender that has a ethernet port

One way to achieve this if you cannot run a long Ethernet cable from your router to your base station/hub is to use Powerline Ethernet.

That link is to Netgear's products, but plenty of other brands are available.

Why do we always come back to this advice? Thousands of people have the same problem. Ok, an "normal" WiFi repeater would be a danger maybe, or would not be able to send the data as the Hub can (I wonder why, because someone cutting down the power would also cut out the base and if it is a matter of security, data can be sent encrypted).

But the solution with a second base is really the worse. First people would have to buy a second one, then you can use the second base as a kind of repeater, you actually register the far cameras on it. So it is like having two systems, you just access your account with one. And even better, you can't have the free plan with 2 hubs.

If Arlo is so afraid of people buying repeater by other companies, just produce one that relay only the signal from the camera and nothing else. There is a sufficient amount of people bothered by it . Look at website where people tell you NOT to buy an Arlo because of this, is this not sufficient for Arlo to make the steps in the right direction?

That is not true. The free cloud recording available with the older cameras depends on the number of cameras in the account, not the number of hubs.

If is true that you need to pair each camera with a specific base.

Totally agree, Arlo should approve in here and make better coverage for placing near-far camera’s ; according their spec there should be coverage within 90mtr. to connect camera’s and would like that this at least was managed.

Far most camara is 10 Mtrs. away from base and this seems already to be to far to connect the Camara. Now, based on their lousy advice, need to place the hub centrally -right in between the camera’s - what is right ........ in the middle of the living room and no Ethernet connection on the cough...

unprofessionally all kind of wires through the house .... secured WiFi connection nowadays is not a seldom ....
