Found it extremely difficult to plug into Camera . Worked great for about four months then it stopped charging and the message was unknown source . I unplugged and then went to charge the battery in the wall charger and I got the same message . I ended up buying a new battery and when I plugged it into the solar I got the same message .

Does the microUSB socket in the camera appear damaged, dirty/corroded?

You can try (carefully) cleaning it.

In response to the solution . I got the same error message when I took one that I use on the inside . I cannot say the connection looks brand new with the one on the outside however it works perfectly well getting plugged into the charger so I know it’s not a corrosion issue . I’m going to try it again since I deleted and reinstalled the updated app for a second time . Will let you know if that work . Thanks
