Guest accounts can’t filter on smart features

My guest accounts can’t filter on smart notifications (people, vechicle, animal, etc). Primary account can filter on these fine. Is this by design? Latest iPhone iOS and Arlo app versions on all accounts.

Part of the guest account privileges is viewing videos according to article. My guest account can view videos and filter like me except the smart options like person or animal is not available. This seems like an oversight or software bug.
