topic Opening app cancels recording? in Arlo Pro

If I receive a notification that motion was detected on one of my cameras, and I open the app before the camera would have finished recording (within 30 seconds), it seems as though the recording is cancelled. I will still have the red "1" icon on the recording tab, but when I click on it I get the message saying "No Recording" for today. From my unscientific observations, this only seems to happen if I immediately open the app when I get the notice that motion was detected. If I miss the notification, or I don't get around to checking it until after recording would have stopped, then the recording seems to be there as it should. Is this a known issue? Is my only solution to make sure to always wait at least 30 seconds after receiving the notification to check the cameras?

The recording will not appear in the library until it has finished. This may take longer depending on the length you have set for your recordings. Once the camera has finished recording, the clip can then be viewed in the library.

I understand that, however my issue is that the recording NEVER shows up no matter how long I wait.

Are you initiating the live stream on the camera that is recording?

Do you see the same behavior on the web client or is this only happening on the mobile app?

I am not initiating the live stream, simply opening the app. I do not know if I would experience the same behavior on the web app as I have not tested it.

seannymurrs,

Simply launching the app should not cancel the recording. I have tested this and was not able to replicate. Are you still seeing the same behavior? Do you get the same results if you open the app from a different device (or launch via web client on a PC)?
