I Added A Smart Plan - How Do I Use The Features?

Have had the arlo Pro system for over a year, has been fine. 4 cameras. I bought a 5th camera a few days ago Pro2 (which seems to not work as well in the dark at all). And I upgraded to the smart plan which shows that you will receive a picture of camera if activated with the options right under it to call 911, activate alarm or call friend. My system is just the same little text alert I received before. Nothing changed. I know the smart plan is activated as I see it when I am in the app and I see the options to turn off individual items, vehicles, people, animals... What am I missing?
