Motion Detection won't activate until I'm close to camera. Signal strength shows very poor.

Camera is set for the driveway.
Motion detection will not activare until I'm pretty close to it like 5 feet.
I notice my signal strength its a very poor.
Would that be a reason why the camera does not active at a farther distance ?

That's a good place to start. Try moving the base to see if you can get a better signal. You may need to reposition the camera, too.

You could use a WiFi extender to help move the base to be in a more optimal location.
