Anyway else find the night vision really poor and very short range?

IMO, for the size of the leds...The Pro is pretty good.... can you post a picture? ( posted in Pro section )

Below is a pic of the of the Pro at night , no external light.

Small stump center is about 27 ft away

But the 3030 is NOT a Pro... it's the original arlo camera

That's why the camera was updated

The Arlo HD, ( original arlo ) which you have , is a bit lacking compared to the Pro/Pro2 cameras...

The best thing you can do is add external lighting in the area... does't take much to make a big inprovement

I wonder if the license plate reflections are causing the autoexposure to darken. Cover the plates and try again to see if it's any different.
