Shelf Life In Store Of VMA4400 Battery

At the advice of a Netear Tech I was going to purchase new batteries for my 1.5 year old Arlo Pro system!

Can anyone help me with information on the following:

1.Expected 'Shelf Life' of batteries in the store
2. How can you tell the age of the battery in the box (no date on the boxes)

We can't tell you the answer to either question. Expected shelf life should be many years like any other Li-ion battery.

I don't know why you were told to buy new batteries unless you somehow damaged one. My original Pro batteries are still going strong. What was the rationale behind the suggestion?

The support call was a few days before the latest 'fix' to the rapid depletion problem with the battery, as a result, I purchased new batteries.
