It is weird. It only affects certain cameras. Many others complaining rapid battery drain on 3 out of there 5 cameras. Could be camera software. Im not real sure but i know something isnt right. May 15th is when all kinds of issues started. They then put out a trial firmware which i did and it fixed all my issues.
