Dear all
basically i like the pro system - and I like to be undependend from any power sopply cable.
But I’ve one issue
as Im using it in a huge cage (Volliere in German) to monitore my grey parrots.
as usually they move an cry a lot - recording runs often a day- so accu is always empty after about 2 days.
and it is hard to change/charge camera in the cage - also I build arround the camera a woodn case to avoid that parrots can destroy it. So also complex to change only accu in the cam
so my idea was (as less sun at the top of cage to use solar panel ) to connect a 20Ah accu pack with that. I found less hints that this and the cable must be a QC3 Version - seems arlo treat it like a little secret - so I lost some of my less freetime hours with differt test and google 😞 - As meantime in every house we have many USB I guess it is not a top idea to torment customers with such restrictions..
however with cutting the plug isolation a little bit smaller it fits now perfect. And it is charging too. Running now since 4 days without climbing up to the cage roof - but still I get a warning message in app to use compatible charging devices. What does it mean ? Is QC3.0 not a standard? What is the risc ? Please no common answers - maybe anybody know details about or better you have experience with other than arlo powersupplies.
I’ve no rain/water issues - as cam is in a wooden box !
thank you for help !
Andreas

It just means that the Arlo voltage required ( tho it works with SOME QC chargers, not all ) is a bit different from the Qualcom normal dual voltage specs. Who know if they truely followed the specs for QC.

This has been noted before and issues have poped up witt the "not proper charger" before.

As a PS, if not charging the battery and you remove it, a normal 5v usb with 2a will run the camera fine
