Arlo Pro Motion Detection

Trying to understand the attached video.

How did the deer get to it's location before the camera detected and started recording and why didn't it start recording again once the deer started to move away?

It looks like the deer may have come into the frame from the bottom of the cameras field of view, motion triggers work best from side to side so there may have been some delay before the camera detected the motion.

Also just to add............ remember these cameras are battery operated which means in order to conserve battery life the cameras go to "sleep" when not in use. Once they detect motion they have to "wake up" to begin recording. This causes a slight delay. All battery operated cameras work this way.

There is a wall on the right side of the video that also has a railing, the wall is about 15-20 feet high up. No way it came from that direction. The damn thing goes off everytime a bug flies in front of it, but not when something as big as a deer.
