when my front door camera is activated it also activates the kitchen camera although the kitchen camera is turned off. How to I unlink the two?

Have you created a custom mode? If so, check your rules to ensure that motion on one camera doesn't trigger recording on another.

Check out your Rules settings for the Front Dor Camera. You have probably set the kitchen camera to record when the Front Door camera detects motion.
