Advice for range optimisation

Hi All

Just installed two Arlo Pro cameras and I am not sure we have the right setup to maximise the range. One is to cover the front garden and sits about 7-8ft on the entrance which is a central point of the front property. I wanted to cover up to road approx 18ft from camera following plants being stolen recently. The other is to cover the driveway and side path (located at same height). Both only seem to be picking up motion when less than 10ft away. I have set the sensitivity to 100% to see if it improves but maybe got an e tra 1ft coverage. Screenshots attached below. Any advice on ways I could improve the range?

The Pro cameras will pick up to a max of around 20ft -23ft.

Movement is more readily picked up when across the field of view rather than straight on towards the camera.

You may need to use more than one camera at angles to what you want to see and then use rules so they both trigger is one sees motion.

I'm not sure how the motion occurs for these cameras. Don't forget that motion is best detected when moving side to side and not directly at the camera. If that's the issue, you may need to reposition the cameras to get the detection you need.

You might try aiming each camera a little more to the left or right depending on what you are try to view.
Or, leave each as they are , but tilt them say 5-15 degrees off of vertical. The image will be a bit tilted, but the motion detection may increase some.

Thanks all. Have tilted slightly to capture more motion across the camera. Will do some further testing and see how I get on.
