I've done it both ways with no problem. Turning the camera off at least prevents silly recordings.

Arlo Pro not charging?

I have a Arlo Pro camera. When I received it I charged it up and everything worked great. I went through one battery cycle and recharged just fine. I received an alert that the battery was low on my 2nd cycle and I plugged it in at 9%.

Now the battery will not charge.

I took the the battery out and plugged it in and the camera works just fine plugged in but as soon as I put the battery in it stops working.

Any ideas?

*Note - even after 2 days on the charger when I press the sync button it still flashes amber like it has a low battery.

Have you got another Arlo Pro you could swap the batteries with to confirm whether the problem is with the battery or with the camera or with the charger?

Try doing the following steps:

1.- Connect USB cable to the ARLO Battery Charger

2.- Connect the microUSB to the Camera

3.- Connect the ARLO Battery Charger to the wall AC Outlet.

I did it a couple of times and it works for me... Looks like the Qualcomm charging technology requires to do this in the described order.

I always turn my cameras off via the app before I remove it from the mount and then back on after I remount it. I have never had a problem with charging. I have never used a particular order in setting up the charger,/cable.

I wonder if anyone turns the camera off before charging? I never see anyone mentioning that they do.

I am just curious.
