I have to agree that expecting users to take the camera down to charge and then put it back after charging is a very poor design decision on Netgear's part. Not only is it two trips to the camera, which may well involve climbing a ladder, the second trip will require aiming the camera AGAIN.

That said, my plan is buy one or two extra batteries and the external charger. I'll keep the extra battery(ies) charged and can swap as necessary, meaning one trip to each camera location instead of two.

I purchased an Arlo Pro, 3 camera system, and it came with 4 batteries. Is there anyway to charge the 4th battery with out taking down one of the 3 working cameras.

There's an external tube charger you can purchase. Otherwise, you have to charge in the camera.

That sounds like a major design flaw or way to make extra revenue. The batteries should have a way to charge.
