    <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, the cameras are not locked to any one base.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;best is to try and keep them out of normal reach, use a screw on mount if possible....&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can make a non standard mount as needed as the threaded hole is a normal 1/4-20 pitch&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Given each camera has a serial number, couldn't Netgear deactivate the stolen camera? Or better yet, have the police trace the IP address to a physical address? Maybe I watch too many cop shows on TV &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":face_with_tongue:"&gt;😛&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the feedback. The most vulnerable ones are mounted outside using the magnetic balls. I think Netgear should look into this. Each camera should be registered to one base and be deactivated by the owner if needed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
