Several cameras have extremely weak signal - they are at the opposite end of the property form the base station (need to be there as thats where the cable box is and the cat6 to the base) -

the stsrem braodcasts a name ntgr_vmb_xxxxxxxx - i have a mesh system that broadcasts the exact same details (from netgear) in other spaces - so i can plug this in mid way and it will pickup the arlo broadcast, and then push it out furhter (and the cameras woudl then grab it) - however, i can't seem to break in to the wifi settings to get that password...does anyone know the admin ip for the base station ?

There's no user access to the base station

You can plug the base station in to the ethernet in the most central location in your house. If that's not sufficient, you can use multiple base stations in your house

You could also use a wireless range extender and plug the base into that

Or if your home is larger, run a star or mesh network and plug extra bases into the access points
