Capturing Movement

I have a camera focused on my sidewalk leading up to my front door as well as the proch area where a person would stand after ringing the door bell. The problem I am having is that the camera starts recording way too late. I want to it to generate notifications when a person is waqlking up the sidewalk. How do I set it to do that? I have it on 85% now.

Sensitivity is only part of the solution. Frequently it's camera position that helps the most. Make sure motion is side to side, not mostly directly at it. Post a screenshot for suggestions.

Why does it only record fir 10 seconds at a time, then takes to long to start recording again while u losing important footage

I set my record time to 20 seconds on all my cameras.
