Arlo Pro Detection Settings and Mount

Hi Everyone

Think the Arlo Pro camera may fit my needs but struggling to find decent information on a couple of points.

I want a camera to install outside to keep an eye on my 2 dogs when i am away from home at work. Can i set the detection zone so the camera will only notify me on human detection and not my dogs as they walk around. Is it possible to set a detection zone so my dogs (under 3ft tall) dont set the alerts off?

Also, does the camera operate 24/7 or only on detection?

Finally, is the mount that comes with the camera suitable for external wall mounting?

You can't set a zone (the Pro2 can do that if it's AC powered). There's a feature you can try called Arlo Smart which is supposed to allow you to only get certain push notifications but it has issues. Besides, you'd still get videos of the dogs, just not notifications.

The cams work on detection only and NOT 24/7 unless your using a PRO2 with the CVR option ( or a Q cam thru the window ).

Also it will work/detect dogs but some times you need to lower the cam to more the dogs level using the Pro

( Pro uses IR detection. Pro2 on ac OR Q cam use pixel detection and work better for smaller animal )
