Ports 80, 123 and 443 to arlo.netgear.com must be open. Business networks are frequently a problem - work with IT for resolution. Your WiFi has no involvement since the base uses Ethernet (although the need to log into the network could be an issue just as with a hotel network) andthe WiFi between cameras and base is dedicated with no connection to anything else.

No need to purchase a plan for everything to work. The basic free plan gives you 7 days storage of recordings.

Trying to setup base station for first time use. It is not being discovered by iPhone, Samung or by any workstation. Currently have the base station plugged int our Business net work. Port 80 is turned. All our wifi requires a passcode. Could the passcode be the problem?

Also, do you have to purchase a plan before you can register your device. What do you get "out of box"?
