    <description>&lt;P&gt;Funny that that hasn't been made more clear in the docs...&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you put the cameras in the DISARMED mode , they use almost null power.&amp;nbsp; ( the same as turning them off in settings )&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;But, IMO, the turning off in settings is more of a privacy issue if "shared" as only the primary owner can turn the cam back on.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;( like a bedroom for child you want to keep offline from shared users )&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;BUT, if you turn off the base unit, the cameras will use a LOT of power trying to reconnect to the base so don't do it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I'm not seeing my model number from the list, which is VMS4430-100NAS. Anyways, I was wondering, what is the most effective way to conserve battery power? Does it work best to turn the camera off completely or just disarm the motion detection? Thank you.</description>
