I’m already using a 16GB USB drive to record.

I have a spare 64GB Micro SD card. Formatted it to the requisite FAT 32. Plugged it in and I find that the base station will render both drives as non existing. Unplug the SD card reader and the 16GB comes back online. Add a different USB thumb drive and both work. Conclusion: Base station doesn’t like card readers and/or SD cards even if formatted to FAT 32.

What are you folks using for backup?

I'm currently using a cheap Lexar 32gb thumb drive i picked up at Costco as a two pack... works fine.

So stick with know speed sticks or hd and not the card reader adapters which obv throws something in the mix that Arlo doesn't like
