how do you ensure camera is not recording while your home?

how do you ensure camera is not recording while your home?

debating if I should put this in the family room where we spend most of our time. is there a shutter or light to ensure camera is not recording while I am at home? really concerned these cameras can get hacked.

Well in the beginning I used to put a sock over the camera... Or turn it to the wall 🙂

Now tho in SW under settings, there is a privacy ON/OFF switch... this will disable the camera from any viewing ( including you ).

That's exactly what it is there for. ( esp good if you share the cameras with others, only the admin can toggle it on/off )

The camera if off goes to sleep mode like disarmed and is using very little power.

** there is/was a glitch with the pro... in OFF mode, motion would still trigger the IR illuminators tho now video was streaming... not sure if fixed yet.

While I haven't checked it since, my case on this was closed when I verified that the IR illuminators no longer turned on when in the Off mode after a firmware update. SHould no longer be a problem.
