Night vision not working

Night vision never seems to work. The camera facing the driveway only shows part of the vehicles parked. Unlike during the day or at dusk.
I've tried the open and close battery door suggestion. It doesn't help.

The ability of the built-in IR illuminators to light up the scene is limited, just as the flash on your cell phone is very limited. It's probably just the distance you're hoping to cover that's the issue. Post a screenshot so we can verify.

Have you tried boosting the brightness to 100%? I think that will help you at night. During the day you will need to move it back to default. If 100% doesn't help then you can consider adding an IR illuminator. Regular lights in the area also help.
