Did you plug in to the same port when you swapped cables? Have you tried to use the cable with a different device?

I installed a New Base Station to extend my security network. All went well until the second day when i noticed disconnection issues occuring intermittedly. All the known processes up to and including resetting and linking back the cameras did not remedy the issue.

The last thing I did was replace the ethernet cable that came with the unit. To my surprise all went back to normal.

It became obvious that the ethernet cable that came with the unit was defective. I called customer service and their position was they will not replace the brand new cable. Not about the cost of the cable but the needless time I spent to make that determination and be told by Netgear they dont even manufacture the cable themselves.
