Can Arlo Pro cameras connect to Arlo base station?

I have the Arlo camera and base station and wanted to add Arlo Pro cameras on using the old Arlo base station, will this work or should I get only Arlo cameras?

Definitely get the Arlo Pro camera add on. It works fine with the original base and you get the mic and speaker plus much better motion detection plus much much better low light functionality. The only things you don't get by not having the Arlo Pro base station are the siren and the USB drive backup

Great stuff. My Arlo Pro isnt syncing to my Arlo V1 base station - how can i trouble shoot this?

Likewise the arlo V1 base station has a USB port on it - is this inoperable?

Ensure you press the sync button on the camera briefly and watch for the slow blinking blue LED. Press the sync button on the base station to get the green camera LED to blink as well. When it syncs, the camera blue LED will start blinking quickly.

USB port on original base station is non-functional

Actually it was interference from a wireless router. I disabled the wireless for syncing and its all good to go.

Good to note in the future.
