Hi,

Just to make sure I understand correctly, if you choose to plug the Arlo Pro into the power outlet instead of running it on batteries, you can remove the battery pack. You do NOT have to have the battery pack installed in the camera for the Pro to operate, correct? If so, that means I can buy a 4-camera system, plug 2 of them into the electrical system, remove their batteries, and have 2 spare battery packs to swap and use on the other two (battery-operated) Arlo Pro cameras.

Is this correct? Many thanks for any clarifications!

Yes, I have run the PRO camera without a battery installed for about 3 weeks...

It operates with or without.

Dif is it will run on the usb 5v without the battery but requires the 9v output to charge the battery when installed.( adapter is dual V output )
