Local storage and continuous recording?

Dear All,

May I check with you if I am using the USB storage for the video recording, did the Alro Pro have any settings to allow the record keep over 7 days? and can I export the record to MAC/PC for 2nd backup?

The USB drive will keep all videos til full IIRC

You have to take the USB drive out and put it into your computer to view the videos with VLC. At that stage you would copy the videos you want to keep to your computer storage and format the drive in the base station again

Is it possible to have the Arlo Pro 2 cameras record continuosly to an external hard drive withouth paying for the montlyh plan? I know they can record to a hard drive, but can they record continuosly?

No, none of the Arlo cameras can record 24/7 locally.

Arlo Pro 2, connected to Power source using USB can record 24/7 but you have to pay for CVR Plan.

But it doesn't store locally
