I purchased a base station a 3 cameras yesterday and installed them at the locations I needed them. None are in the sun. I ensured everything had the latest firmware. However I am very disappointed with the range of the motion sensor. Literally when I am within a few feet of the camera does it start recording I.e at the door. I have set the sensitivity to max. I am hoping this is a software glitch and not a hardware limitation otherwise these camera are useless for security.

Mine detect motion around 30 feet away (may be more) but I do notice that camera detect movement from the "middle" of what the camera sees, down. If motion is too high it may not detect it. Also, it detects motion on the sides even if the camera don't see it.

Motion is best detected when across the FOV. Distance and total view can be an issue. Post screenshots for suggestions.
