Magnetic mounts have worked for me for two years now... just in case tho, I recommend a short teather from the mount to a 1/4-20 bolt screwed into the camera threaded hole ...many have had birds knock the cameras off.

( I use fishing line , works fine )

I want to mount my Arlo Pro cameras outside. Have folks used the magnetic mounts that come with the cameras for outside mounting? If so, any problems or things to think through about that setup? If not, what is the reaosn why?

I should note -- two spots would be partially sheltered, but one spot would be out in the open. Not a high wind area, but we do get strong gusts with thunderstorms a few times a year.

Thanks.

From a weather perspective, no real problem. It's more of a security one where a threaded mount woul slow down a thief.

Thanks. Other thoughts welcome. Hadn't thought of that issue, though. Some will be mounted high enough to be out of reach, but will have to consider where they all are set.
