Install a UPS/battery backup for the modem, router and base. The length of worst case outage dictates the size and cost of the UPS. I use a 750VA one that should last many hours.

Got my new Arlo Pro wirefree wi-fi cameras set up around our farm. Working great! Until short power cut this morning. All cameras off line. Moderm has 2 green lights up for power and Internet but nothing for the cameras.
It's obvious that I have to re-sinc all 4 of my cameras!? Ok question is- if I'm away on holiday and I'm relying on this expensive security system to help catch crims, and the power company decides to turn power off for a while, that makes this system totally useless! Correct? I can't come home from holiday just to sort a re-sinc out! Now I have to walk the farm climb up ladders, unscrew all the cameras, bring them inside, re-sinc, go back out up ladders, re position cameras all in the dead of winter! Is this a major fault or please if there's a much simpler way to get my cameras that are off line, up and running again then suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Awesome advice! Thank you so much. I didn't even know you could do that so I will investigate further.

Ive just ordered 2 solar panels for 2 of the outdoor cameras, so really looking foward to see how they perform when I get them:) Hopefully give me piece of mind for camera battery life when I'm away. Thanks for you help fellow community member! So much knowledge out there!

As a PS.... it's been shown that when the base goes out for a number of hours the cameras loose sync. Unknown time but more than an hour , TBMK

Nothing to be done then but resync the cameras...

BUT , if the base stays powered ( at a min ) the cameras think all is fine as they are dumb and just ping the base now and then... they don't loose sync.

The router and modem add a plus to the whole thing cause if they stay powered , you don't losse internet connection at all ( unless cable for internet is out too )
