Motion Detection will not detect until they approx 2 metres from camera

Continue to have motion detection problems will pick up the garbage truck as it drives pass the driveway in the street, but if a person or car comes up the driveway it will not detect until they approx 2 metres from camera and by the time the camera starts recording they are nearly past the camera.

Must say a very overrated product with huge limitations if this cannot be solved

As you have discovered, motion detection works best for objects moving across the field of view rather than towards the camera.

Try and increase sensitivity but if that does not work then reposition the camera to capture the subjects most important to you moving across the field of view.
