I have a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 for my home wireless. I have a detached garage that is 600 feet from the existing router and two standard 2X4 walls between. Will the camera operate from this distance or should I purchase an additional router for the garage? I know that you can purchase a booster to strengthen the signal but wondering about the best solution to insure reliable camera coverage.

600 feet is going to be tough using normal home networking equipment. Even using Ethernet cable to the garage would require two 300 foot cables with a repeater in the middle. While WiFi can work up to maybe 300 feet, in real life it's apt to be much shorter. You could investigate industrial strength WiFi equipment and antennas to maybe make it work or provide Internet service directly to the garage rather than attempting to expand your existing service.
