Outdoor adapter and quadpod availability

Both the outdoor power adapter (VMA4700) and the new quadpod mount (VMA4500) have popped up on Amazon for order (from Amazon directly for the MSRP as well as through a vendor that has marked up the price), which seems to indicate that both will be widely available soon.

I bought 3 and when they work, they are great, but two stopped working within 2 weeks. Even the replacement I got stopped working. Moreover, I set up 3 cameras and a system for a family member 2 weeks ago and they adapters have the same problem. They all keep failing or disconnecting. Maybe these kind of issues delayed its availability.

What are you experiencing that indicates the adapters are no longer working? What conditions are you using them in?
