What is the point of the cord/adapter that comes with the spare battery. You cannot charge it without the charging station or in the camera correct?

Incorrect...

You can charge the battery IN the camera OR run the camera without the battery installed...your choice how you use the adapter.

Or you can charge the battery pack ( will handle two ) in the charge tube.

I did not know you could use the camera with no battery in that scenario, thanks. Mine are no where near plugs tho.

I assume my initial comment that the battery cannot be charged just by the cord is true. It needs to be in the camera or a station.
