Arlo pro just purchased

We just purchased an Arlo pro 4 camera system last night. We added an Arlo Q plus as well. I'll be installing it this weekend. Any suggestions for this newbie?

Yes...

1)the Q will work thru glass, the Pro's don't

2)placement is important , high enough not to reach but not to high , movement flow more across the field of view than straight on

3)when using schedule time does not go thru midnite, so split time into two parts 10pm to 1159, next day midnight to 2am ( etc )

4) QUICK push on base sync button, don't hold

5) most important READ THE FAQs, almost every question is asked and there

Not really - once configured it mostly works like the wireless cameras.

A couple of thoughts:

- The Q supports zones for detection so be sure to check them out (set them up in Settings and then utilize them in your modes for the Q)

- You can't integrate the Q and wireless cameras into common modes. They're treated as separate systems.

- The Q uses your home WiFi, not a base. Some folks try to sync the Q to their base which isn't possible. Just follow the directions.
