I have a USB hard drive hanging off the base station. When I delete recordings via the app, does it only delete from Arlo cloud or does it delete from external drive as well? Let me know if you know. Thanks.

Recordings on the USB drive are only accessible by removing the drive and plugging it into a PC.

Therefore any deleting you do using the app will only affect cloud based recordings.
