One of 4 of my cameras seems to have lost the ability to show colors. I have rebooted the camera and the base but there is no change. What might cause this? All cameras are new.

B&W means the light level is below the color threshold in the camera. Increase the ambient lighting and it will revert to color.

I find no camera setting to accomplish this. Do you mean moving the camera? I am in a wooded area but this has only just occurred in the past couple of days and I don't think the foliage has filled in that quickly. There is plenty of daylight.

Post a screenshot which may help us. Yes, you may have to move the camera since it's outdoors and apparently during daytime but it also depends on where the camera is pointed.

Really seems to be a threshold thing. It's fairly heavily shaded but I'd have thought there was sufficient light to remain in color. Try swapping cameras around to see if others do the same thing in the same spot.

Sorry for the delay. It does appear to be a threshold thing but the Porch camera, only a few feet away is providing color. Wish there was some sort of adjustment. Guess I will have to live with it as there is no other place I can mount the affected camera.

A new twist to this phenomenon. The camera is still showing grayscale, any time of day. However, I am now noting that the first few seconds of a recording is indeed in full color. So, it sees the color but for some reason reverts to grayscale. I am guessing this would seem to be more than just a threshold situation. And again, the other three cameras are all on the same lot subject to the same conditions.

I'm seeing this, too, on one camera. It's not clear to me exactly what's going on. Adjusting the brightness doesn't really help although it actually appears to be a brightness and/or contrast issue. A certain amount of color is visible in certain objects but the rest just seems washed out. I haven't tried removing the camera and resyncing it yet to see if that helps - have you?
