Hi,

I am thinking of installing metal mesh security cage for Arlo Pro installed outdoor to protect itself from vendals; example of what I am looking are available here, please have a look >> https://ampwire.co.uk/products/protection-and-security/camera-guards/

Can anyone please suggest - if I put Arlo Pro inside a metal mesh security cage, is it going to lose motion detection performance?

Anything that blocks IR will affect the detection but I don't think these cages will do much. The bigger the mesh, the less blockage but I think you'd be hard-pressed to see a difference with any of them.
