Has anyone tried to connect the base station and camera to a home mesh network. Example, google wifi, linksys Velop, Netgear Orbi? My router is on it's last legs and wondering if one of these would work, since I need to use extenders to get the signal out.

I currently run the Orbi ( star setup, not mesh ) with one Satellite.

As far as range, yes , very good.

But really shines when adding a second base to the ethernet ports on the Satellite. Because of the high thru-put ( 5 ghz channel backbone ) to the Sat, the second base doesn't know it's on an extender ( so to speak ). It allows the main unit to be about 40ft from the satellite so i get so much more coverage.

Also like the 5 ghz channel which works great with the Q cameras

Any question , feel free to ask

Orbi is great. You can have your modem anywhere and attach the Orbi Router, then put the Orbi Satellite anywhere you want (probably the most central area in the house with a power point). If you look at all the mesh router reviews, you'll see Orbi constantly comes out on top. Great that the satellite has 4 ethernet ports too!!
