What to buy ?

I need to decide what to buy ?

Arlo Pro + base OR Ring Stick Up Cam ?

Arlo have a base , Ring doesn't

Both wire free , Ring with solar panel

Both almost the same price

What i am missing ?

Any advice will be appreciated .

First do you need it Indoors or Out?

Second , do you have good exterior lighting and a window where you want it?

Third, do you need audio?

In all, I would go for the PRO as you can later expand the system to a max of 5 cameras FOR FREE ( not with ring ) and, Have local recording ( and same time cloud ) with the PRO, the Pro will give audio 2 ways.

The solar panel for the Pro will be coming.

If you can live without audio and there's a window, the indoor ac powered Q cameras will work thru glass well as detection is pixel based ( just can't use night vision thru glass )

In the end..ask good questions and make an informed choice ! 🙂

(of course asking here we tend to have a bit of bias)

Don't need local recording .

The solar panel for the Pro will beat additional cost , at present the price is almost the same with ring solar ...

Free ? Each addition camera cost $189.99 or I don't understand .

I would lean to the PRO in case you change your mind later re audio...

As to the "free", not that the cameras are free, BUT the 7 days of storage is free for up to 5 cameras if you want to add more cameras later. This 7 days of record is NOT a trial period but for ever... ( on day #8, day #1 is deleted automatically and you can d/l if you want to save )

Ring charges; After the thirty day trial period, optional Cloud Video Recording subscriptions are $3/month or $30/annually for each Ring Doorbell.
