None of the wireless cameras will connect to a router. Only a base can be used. There were issues with WiFi connectivity when using g the R7000 instead of a base. I was beta testing the Arlo firmware until the decision was made to drop the support.

My understanding is that the Netgear R7000 will work without the need for a base station for the Arlo products.

I've just purchased the Pro and Q models.

The Arlo Q connected without incident, very easy. I used the iOS app and it was seamless.

The pro - according to the light sequence is connected to my router, I can even see it connteced in the network map. I've confirmed it's the right device by switching it off and on and making sure the same device comes back online in the router map.

However - there's no feed on the app. When I try to login to arlo.netgear.com it states I have a Netgear account with no Arlo products associated, prompts me through the setup process that doesn't work.

Is it the app or router at fault - any advice appreciated.

Bought these to protect my van that had all the tools stolen over the weeknd, kind of need this working asap!

Thanks

The R7000 stopped being able to directly connect to Arlo / Pro cameras about 3 firmware versions ago. The Q connects due to just requiring a wifi connection. Unfortunately, you will need a base station for your Arlo Pro (though it can be the old one if you want to try get one cheap) and the base station will require an ethernet connection

So is it just the Pro that can't connect to the R7000, or all Arlo products?

As I mentioned, the Arlo Q connected and working?
