Hello,

I am looking at an Argo Pro video solution and have an interesting use case.

I currently have three WiFi APs in my home network on 2.4GHz channels 1,6, and 11. My question is if it's possible to either:

 1) set the channel that the Arlo Pro Basestation is using or

 2) have the cameras use MY WiFi so they're not being stomped by my signal?

Thank you,

Patrick

You really can not adjust the channel of the Arlo Basr router....( there is a work-around but it doesn't stick if reboot happens )

Netgear has made it so it will sit on the same channel as your router and will work fine this way....so when you set it up, it will be aprox 6-8 ft ( etherent cable ) away from your router and sit on the same chanel

Have not had any issues with this.

If you move the base more than 20+ ft from you router ( via ethernet cable ) it may pick the best channel

As to #2...the Arlo/Arlo Pro cameras can ONLY link to the base units... The Arlo Q cameras link directly to your home wifi

Edit;

As to if the other APs can cause interference to the cameras, can't answer

Download Wi-Fi analyzer see what channel the arlo box is on. Then go into your router settings and change the channel to a different one

wifi analyzer is a good prgm...but if close to the router, the base auto sits on the same channel...

The OP has the problem of 3 APs all at the non-overlapping channels of 1,6,11

I think there was more concerned the other two APs causing camera interference
