Google Assistant - Show camera on mobile device

On my phone I can use Google Assistant to show a camera, but, it shows it by default on my Living Room TV. It does this even when I am away from the house.

Is it possible to be away from the house and while on the phone to show a camera on the phone itself?

You might want to try changing your preferred media playback device from your Google Assistant and see if that helps. Feel free to read this article: Pick a preferred TV or speaker for video and audio playback.

Otherwise, you may want to refer to Google Support regarding this.

I appreciate the reply, but this is using Google Assistant on my mobile, not a Google Home.
Mobiles don't have the same feature (that I know of) that is mentioned in the link.

Sorry about that. To view the camera, it will only work with a Chromecast device.
