I have a set of Arlo cameras in and around my garden office - the hub is in there too - so if it picks up someone inside the alarm on the hub sounds, but it's too far from the house for me to hear it. I have an Arlo Pro 2 inside the office and a Pro 3 Floodlight Camera outside. I'm wanting to make this more efficient following an attempted break in yesterday evening - thankfully as I was awake I saw the Arlo iPhone app notification and was able to get downstairs quickly enough to make them panic and run off - but if it happened during the night I doubt this would have gone so well.

I get notifications via my iPhone but the notification sounds are not loud enough to wake me up - unless I make literally all of my phone notifications exceptionally aggressive! I appreciate them adding the two custom notification sounds to the iPhone app but they're so slight and discreet that even at full volume they've no hope of waking me up.

I'm wondering what the simplest way would be to get a proper alarm sound in the house please. I know Alexa stuff works with Arlo, and I have a Sonos One with Alexa, but honestly I don't ever want to have Alexa turned on due to privacy issues. Is there a way to have something like a small Alexa device sound an alarm if a person is detected, without having Alexa set up to listen for commands?

Alternatively, are there any other devices / protocols that could work for this? I do have an Apple TV in the bedroom which could, in theory, notify me...?

Any help would be very gratefully received!

You can try setting up the Apple Homekit. I am not sure if the sounds are much louder for the notifications but it is an option to try.
