I'd go with one of the smarthubs (VMB4540 or VMB5000). That gives you the direct access to local storage feature.

The VMB4540 is less expensive. The VMB5000 is dual band (as are the Ultra cameras), but that isn't always a good thing, as 2.4 ghz has longer range. So I'd tilt towards the VMB4540.

Note that the VMB4540 has a USB slot for local storage, the VMB5000 instead has a microSD slot.

I have/ had one of the original bases, then got a second to add cameras at a further distance. Worked fine for about a year then the added base stopped working. At the time I didn’t expand again and put my account on hold.
Now I want to start up again and don’t know what base station or hub to use with my old set up. I believe it was a 4000, or 45, which I don’t think is important since each base is independent.

so what is the best overall addition? I don’t need to save videos or other bells and whistles. Just something that functions well and compatible with pro 2,3,and 4. One of them is an ultra.

any suggestions???
