Just got my setup with the Samsung Smartthings hub and a GE Zwave Plus Light Swtich. the Arlo integration is great with Smartthings and you can use the "Smart Lighting" SmartApp to detect motiio and take action. You can also do this with IFTTT.

I'm very interested in the home automation and IFTTT technology that prompts lights to turn on when motion is detected. Do you know what all products are supported with this technology?

There are many products support by IFTTT. Take a look at the IFTTT recipes in the Arlo IFTTT channel here: Arlo IFTTT channel

If I'm understanding correctly, your Samsung Smarthings hub and the GE Zwave communicate with the Arlo cameras to turn on the lights when Arlo detects motion?

The Smarthings hub acts as the middle man. The Arlo Pro camera shows up as a motion sensor for use with the automation. So if there is motion on a "sensor" the Smarttthings hub can then take action on the light switch .
