I am looking to buy the arlo pro. Does anyone know if you can add a pre-recorded sound via USB etc to the hub. The idea is to be able remotely play a sound remotely of say a dog barking to ward off un wanted visitors. Or can you pre record the sounds (ie dog) on your phone and then play it via the netgear hub

No, but you may be able to add that via IFTTT and/or SmarThings.

Has anyone figured out how to use IFTTT to play back a recording over a camera if motion is detected?

I am aware of the Musaic site that should work with Arlo and IFTTT but do not know if there are fees required and what recorded statements are available. Please comment if you know any more details.

Since Arlo PRO has speakers it will be great to play a sound to scare away intruders when motion is detected

There is a video online that describes how to have your Arlo Pro broadcast a prerecorded statement. I do not know enough about the process to know if I want to try it. It utilizes IFTTT and Musaci. I would like some feedback from someone that has tried it.
