I'm amazed to see so many posts for token re-sets and Arlo support staff dully sending such tokens to base stations.

Could the dev. team not develop a self-service whereby a user would put in the model/serial number or something and this would then automatically send that token.

Unless I don't understand something here, in which case please enlighten me.

Yes, will make it easier to manage for ourselves.

To speculate, the HomeKit token would be from a key generator that could easily be pirated so only arlo can change the key in the base station remotely.

An automated tool to allow users to manage these tokens is currently being developed. We hope to have the tool available soon but I don't have an ETA at this time.
